ABC Articles
Insights for the Climb
Ancient Wisdom, Modern Wordplays
The ABC Articles offer a preview of the full story of what it means to Follow the Path Above Base Camp and are available either by email or on our Substack webpage (to subscribe, see the box below). The first series of Articles will give a general flavour of the main topics and themes from the ABC Framework. In due course there will also be four specific types of ABC Articles that will cover the Spiritual Practices, Spiritual Formation, Helpful Greek & Hebrew words and Christian Acrostics. The hope is that these Articles will be of practical use in our walk with Jesus, perhaps as a framework for a sermon, or for discussion at a home group, or just for personal study.

ABC Books
Climbing the Mountain Path
Seeking the Good Way of the Ancient Paths
The ABC Books are intended to offer an approachable exploration of the different seasons we might experience on the journey that is the Christian Life of Faith and are framed around the metaphor of climbing Mount Everest. As a single metaphor, it can’t do everything that this asks of it, but it can get us a long way, and any limitations will be clearly signposted. Similarly, no metaphor or model can represent every lived reality of every Christian — but it can help as a guide for many and it can help to know you’re not alone. Which is important, because, even though this is about your climb, you cannot do it alone. You need the Holy Spirit and you need climbing companions.
Our first book, “The Journey Above Base Camp: Renewing your climb” is now available. Please visit the Costs page for information on how to make a purchase.

ABC Courses
Training for the Climb
Practical Wisdom for Modern Pilgrims
The ABC Courses aim to combine wisdom from the past with contemporary thinking to help Modern Pilgrims walk with Jesus on the Good Way of the Ancient Paths, today. This wisdom is drawn from Scripture and from Church Tradition and is intended to be practical in nature so that it can be applied to the life of faith in today’s world. The course material is based around the ABC Framework and has been produced in such a way that the courses are capable of being self-led.
Our first Course, “The Journey Above Base Camp: Renewing your Climb“, is now available for sale. To purchase either the Leaders’ Guide or the Participants’ Guide, please visit the Costs page.

ABC Discovery Guides
Guides for the Climb
How to Follow the Path Above Base Camp
Many of us, at some point or other on our faith journey, will have a lot of questions about the life of faith and how it is all meant to work, and we have taken some of the most common of these questions as our motivation for a lot of what you will see here. In the ABC Discovery Guides, the theme is the question ‘How do I walk with Jesus on the Good Way?’.
As they become available for sale, the ABC Discovery Guides will be listed in the Costs section.

Spiritual mentoring
Our heart is to see people grow to maturity in their relationship with Jesus. The goal of these sessions would be to help you to understand where you are in your faith journey and/or find ways to help you to move forward — it is therefore more spiritual guidance or accompaniment than it is either pastoral care, coaching or counselling.
Spiritual Mentoring is offered on weekday mornings (except Fridays) between 9am and 1pm, subject to location and availability. Each session is for 1 hour. There may also be the opportunity for taster sessions as part of the FIRE-break Retreats. The first 1-hour session is free and we can decide after that whether you would like to continue. Face to face would be best, but if you’d feel safer, we can always meet somewhere public, or online. Thereafter the suggested cost would be £30 per session, depending on your circumstances. Please contact us for more details if this might be of interest.
